Self-Talk House

Yanqing, Beijing Client: weico

This house, set in the environment of Yanqing, is like a person murmuring to themselves, immersed in their own world, keeping their head down and unwilling to be seen. The residence consists of only two rooms facing each other—one for receiving guests and the other for daily living. The high walls enclosing it from north and south clearly separate the courtyard from the village, making the inner space a unique existence.
